We\u2019ve built a custom Interface between an IBM Power System Power8 (OS\/400 V7R2) and a Cloud based application in which an automatic process (using WRKJOBSCDE, SFTP and Public Key Authentication- no end user logon required) provides contact information so that authorized senders on the Cloud based application may send mass notifications (Emails and SMS text) in case of an emergency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Safety in case of an emergency is top priority!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n So, to facilitate and expedite sending the emergency notifications, this interface creates and updates multiple pre-determined groups on the Cloud application so that an authorized sender may quickly select from a drop-down menu a group of recipients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n ***Note: This interface used custom programming (RPGLE and CLLE) along with JD Edwards One World DREAM Writer features to extract the information. We created, documented, and executed user acceptance testing plans.
